"Pollen" I went out to shoot the Rose of Sharon (hibiscus) and found it covered with bees. I was about 25 yards away with a 300mm telephoto lens. What you may not realize is that when a bee enters a flower it goes in head first (butt end up). When it exits the flower it backs out (butt end first). I seemed to catch this bee as it transitioned from backing out to flying off, so the head was lifted up, and pollen went everywhere. Ultimately, this was just a lucky shot.
