  • On the deep dives it was common to catch an octopus in the open.

  • Hammerheads were around us on every dive. Down at 80 to 100 feet we would often watch them schooling above.
  • On each dive what you experienced depended on where you were. In this shot a whitetip shark accompanied by a few jacks cruised by right in front of me while a couple of divers below me remain unaware waiting for some large pelagic to come to the "cleaning station" in front of them.

  • Some of the dive sites were accessed by pulling yourself down the mooring line through the current that would otherwise swiftly take you miles away.
