  • There was an elegant dining room and bar that we enjoyed for a couple of days.

  • We arrived at the Poas Volcano, which is an active volcano, in the pouring rain. This is the only picture that I kept which is the rangers pavilion and display. We took the walk to the volcano in the rain and arriving at the observation deck we could smell the hydrogen sulfide but couldn't see beyond five feet due to the cloud forrest.
  • On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a local roadside restaurant and had an excellent meal of local Costa Rica fare (black beans, rice, fried plantain, and chicken). After lunch the fellow helping people park urged us to visit a garden across the street.
  • There was one section of the garden with enumerable hummingbird feeders.
