  • Goldentail Moray Eel
  • Green Moray Eel
  • Spotted Drum
  • Spotted Drum, same song second verse.
  • The next three shots are different pictures of the same seahorse. I couldn't decide which was the best. Longsnout Seahorse.

  • Longsnout Seahorse
  • This is the largest pipefish I have ever seen (about 8 inches). Diamond Pipefish.
  • This series of shots stitched together in Photoshop was taken off the back of the dive boat during one of our surface intervals.
  • Scrawled Cowfish
  • This is an unusual anemone with the occasional fluorescent tip of the knoblike tentacles is a Florida Corallimorph.
  • When shooting with a 100mm macro lens, it's hard to capture the larger fish. Sometimes you only get the eyeball. This is a big ugly Spotted Scorpionfish.
  • The Sponge Brittle Star is a starfish that as the name implies lives on sponges. They are very difficult to photograph when so often found inside the sponge. This one was conveniently on the outside.
  • I am always fascinated to find a Bryozoan which is classed as a reef "creature" rather than some form of coral. White Fan Bryozoan.
  • White Fan Bryozoan
  • Another shot of the evermore ubiquitous Lionfish.
  • The Spotted Drum is very territorial. This intermediate Spotted Drum was sharing the same territory as the mature drum in the next shot.
  • Spotted Drum, mature.
  • Social Feather Duster (tubeworm)
  • The Spotted Drums are often under a ledge against a sandy bottom. This Spotted Drum was flitting back and forth out in the open against the background of this Whitestar Sheet Coral.
