  • Foureye Butterflyfish with a Cymothoid Isopod attached.  The Cymothoid Isopod is not a parasite but rather feeds from the bits that the host fish fails to swallow.  The Isopod will attach for life and await the attachment of a younger smaller male and mate.  Later when the older larger female dies, the male changes sexes to await the next male.
